Viking Spas enhanced website user experience creates better results than ever before

Viking Spas is a family-owned business that manufactures U.S. built, high quality spas while providing arguably the best value in the spa industry.   We connected to upgrade their website user experience through a redesign and some digital marketing services to more fully integrate their marketing strategies and help them increase their brand awareness, reach, and customer experience.  Although we did not do our work from the comfort of a hot tub, we were able to launch a site that captures the Viking Spas brand, creates a positive user experience, has increased brand awareness through increased traffic, and now generates more leads than they have EVER received through their website partially due to their new website feature of being able to “BuildYour Own” spa.

As a proud partner of American Made Matters, Viking Spas believes in the importance of manufacturing their spas right here in America. To capture that, we created a website that celebrate their accomplishments of being recognized by the President of the United States for US Exporting, and having the highest level of content of American manufacturing in their product.

The Work

We designed and developed a layout that allowed users to see the numerous spas and features that are offered. Also created was a fully-functioning “build your own” spa that allowed users to build the hot tub of their dreams based on their personal preferences for any combination of size, color, jets, etc. This website was designed with the user experience in mind from the planning stages through the final touches in development.

Viking Spas keeps close relationships with its dealers, so we created a dealer locator for customers to locate the closest dealer carrying a Viking Spas hot tub. We also engaged with dealers on social media – promoting specials, featuring images and engaging with the end user. SEO work allows users to organically find Viking Spas and the wide range of hot tubs that they offer. Other digital marketing efforts, such as PPC campaigns and inbound marketing, raised the bar on brand awareness and, in turn, conversions. To add to the visual experience of Viking Spas’ products, we shot and created a number of videos featuring Viking Spas’ core beliefs: safety, value, quality and integrity.

The Results

Viking Spas continues to be a industry leader in manufacturing high-quality hot tubs in the United States. To compliment their accomplishments, they now have brand guidelines, a user-experience focused website, integrated marketing strategy, and strong visuals to compliment their accomplishments.

Some of the returns for their 2015 during 2016 have been a 23% increase in referral traffic – helped a lot by the “build your own” feature,  a 35% increase in direct traffic, a 44% increase in organic traffic, with a 43% increase in new users (non paid) and a 10% decrease in their bounce rate.

That is a great beginning and results that show the investment was definitely worth it.
